About
Isabelle Avenarius (France) was born in 1972 in Casablanca and grew up in Paris. She graduated from the European Business School in 1995 with a Master’s degree in Marketing and International Strategies. Alongside her professional career, she developed her artistic practice in painting and photography, beginning to exhibit her work in galleries in 2008—the same year she became a bestseller on the online gallery Whitewall.
Working with her camera like a pencil, she plays with light and movement, using canvas as her medium. Inspirations from places such as Giverny, Scandinavia, and Peru led to her photo series Natural Impressions I & II and Between Land and Sea. From 2012 to 2015, she lived in Abu Dhabi, where she created her MOSAIQUES photography series, printed on acrylic and produced in limited editions.
In 2015 she exhibited the architectural series Bord'H2O while based in Bordeaux. She now lives in Morges, Switzerland, where her environment inspires her artistic practice.
