Impressions Naturelles I & II (2008-2009) |
In this series Isabelle Avenarius is effectively using the camera as a pencil. This is a transition from her pictural to her photographic work. This way the force of the colours may bring the original places back to life. The gardens of Giverny which inspired impressionists to capture the light with oil on canvas, are set in motion just to stand still over time.
